Spring 2012

Spring 2012:
Spring is in air, and in Winnipeg, that means construction season is upon us.
We are excited to have started a number of new projects and to turn-over the keys on a few existing projects.
“LGC Family Place” is now underway. A successful completion of the Preconstruction Phase occurred in March and we have now broken ground and started on earthworks and foundations. Congratulations to the Living Gospel Church, Hold Zone Inc, Manitoba Housing, Friesen Tokar Architects and a dedicated and professional host of Consultants who all shared the Preconstruction duties with Crystal Construction. I have really enjoyed working with the Team on the Preconstruction Phase. The Team was very focused and dedicated to the project and yet the atmosphere around the design table was light and enjoyable.
Design work for “Heritage Landing” is well underway and construction is scheduled to commence in May.
The new “Cath Lab at the St. Boniface General Hospital” for Phillips Medical is now under construction. Demolition is complete and we are moving into the Construction Phase.
Phase 1 of the “Wawanesa Insurance” tenant improvements is now completed and Phase 2 is underway.
Foundations at the “MFRC Daycare Addition” at 17-Wing are now completed and framing has commenced.
“Grand Lyon Terrace” – Phase 1 is now completed and tenants are moving into their new home.
A heart-felt congratulations goes out to the Staff at the new Salvation Army Multi-Cultural Family Center. The keys have been turned-over and the Staff is moving into their new facility. The building is wonderful and we wish all the best to the Salvation Army in their new facility.

Welcome to the new Crystal Construction Ltd.

New Years Message:
Hello, and welcome to the new Crystal Construction Ltd. web-page. As 2011 is now behind us; we eagerly look forward to a number of new and exciting opportunities for 2012. Our first endeavour was to up-load our new web-page. I hope you enjoy the new layout and find it informative and easy to use.
2012 also presents a number of new projects that will soon begin their Construction Phase. We are planning to start with the ground-breaking of the Living Gospel Church Affordable Housing and Community Centre located on William Avenue. Site work is scheduled to proceed in March. We look forward to working together with all of the major stakeholders and eagerly anticipate the start of this unique building.
Design work for Heritage Landing is scheduled for completion in early 2012 and construction is scheduled to commence in May. This 28-storey high rise apartment block will be one of the few high rise apartment blocks built in the City of Winnipeg within the last 20-years. We are excited to be a part of this development and look forward to starting on-site in the spring.
A number of other projects including; Renovations to Wawanesa Insurance’s Winnipeg office and a Daycare Addition to Building 125, 17-Wing CFB Winnipeg are also in the mobilization stages. We look forward to these and many other opportunities.
